The committee system is a means to organize ideas and talent into teams that create content for PBL-FBLA, and it has come to serve as PBL-FBLA's backbone. The committee system is also designed to help members grow and gain hands-on experience while making meaningful relationships throughout their time in college. Those within the committee system are expected to work with and off of their team while continuing to grow in both personal and professional aspects.
The Outreach Committee will have a clear focus on developing PBL-FBLA's external relationships with other student organizations, companies, alumni, and more. We also emphasize the practice and refinement of professionalism for the entire organization. Within the committee we will work together to plan and lead workshops, events, and tabling to give our committee members hands on experience with public speaking, presentations, and professional growth. Finally, an important part of being in the Outreach Committee is the planning and organization of Alumni Networking Dinner and the Q&A Industry Panel.
Within programming, there are two main subcommittees: Large Events and Small Events and Fundraising. The Large Events committee is in charge of planning and promoting our two annual events in both Winter and Spring Quarter. In the Winter Quarter, the Large Events committee would host FBLA’s annual Snowrific and Winter Gala. Respectively, in Spring Quarter, Large Events will prepare for Spring Retreat and Banquet. Our Small Events and Fundraising committee will focus more on planning smaller-scale events such as socials and fundraising events throughout the quarter. While the Large Events and Small Events and Fundraising subcommittees differ in the types of events the members will plan and present, both committees will help members further develop their critical thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving skills, and so much more.
The Marketing Committee will have a clear focus on developing PBL-FBLA's image. We will be utilizing social media and various marketing campaigns to show members what PBL-FBLA can offer, and to show people outside of the PBL community who we are. We want to allow committee members a chance to have a hands on experience in creating social media content, using Adobe Suite, and photography/cinematography. Within the committee we will work as group to create flyers and other projects for the other two committees in order to advertise our events. Finally, an important part of being in the Marketing Committee is the exclusive Marketing project which is creating the PBL-FBLA Yearbook and End of the Year Video.
